New patcher goes live December 1st, the old ones wont work anymore supposedly.

I watched the AoD eq2 team live video today just some stuff they annonced in it.

Release date: December 6th

Acheivements Increase: 20 aa's to spend in you current trees

Reforging: will be quest related, the npc will ask you to get things to unlock reforging options. Reforging will allow changes to appearance on weapons as well as stat changes i think.

Mercenaries: there are elite mercanariess in the world but not the eq2 lore mercenareies they originally planned. Regular mercanaries are affected by buffs, suppose to be semi smart ai.

Beastlords: There is a DUCK warder!!! (yes a duck, hidden somewhere in the game, and there is only one)

Just found out info on the next EQ2 expansion: "Age of Discovery"

Increase AA limit (not sure how much)
Tradeskill apprentice - a new type of tradeskill class that can build "really cool things"
Reforging - a way to realign stats on gear (not a new tradeskill, anyone can learn it)
Mercenaries - fill out a group with customizable AI players
Beastlord - Seriously. "New type of playstyle" leather armor, new pet interface/control
Design your own dungeon. Not much info, but the screenshot looked interesting
Freeport revamp - not part of the expansion, but happening at the same time

We'll have more details on all these and more over the next few days. That's all they said so far.

Also, it's supposed to come out "late November" of this year.
